Twelve Fifteen Choristers

In
March 2000, Msgr. Fidelis Limcauco,
former parish priest of the Good Shepherd realized
the need for an additional Sunday mass schedule
in the afternoon. To facilitate this, he established
the 12:15 noon mass, which was initially presided
by Rev. Fr. Rey Flores. To make
the Eucharistic Celebration livelier, Msgr. Fidelis
tapped some dedicated parishioners to form a choir
that would render liturgical music services and
lead the congregation in singing during the mass.
This choir group became known as the Twelve-Fifteen
Choristers or the TFC Choir.
The TFC Choir was organized by Ate Sally
Rea and Ate Lydia Calvario
with the assistance of Ate Mina Serena
Reburiano as President and Kuya
Bong Flores as Musical Director. After
three years from its establishment, Kuya
Erwin Guillen was chosen to lead the
choir with the assistance of Ate Jennifer
Ortega who helps the TFC in fulfilling
its mission in serving Our Lord thru singing.
Today, the TFC has become an “open door”
for parishioners and non-parishioners who want
to serve God by sharing their time, talents and
friendship with each other.
The group also shares their talents with other
parishes and chapels as invited guests and participates
in parochial concerts and chorale festivities.
Objectives
The Twelve-Fifteen Choristers was organized mainly:
1. To provide Liturgical Music Services that
makes the congregation during the 12:15 noon Mass
on Sundays more participative;
2. To give an opportunity for parishioners to
join and serve God by willingly giving their time
and talents in music;
3. To establish a faithul community bonded by
friendship, willingness to learn, worship and
quality service.
