| On
August 18, 1975, Jaime Cardinal
Sin installed Fr. Fidelis
Limcaco as the first parish priest
of the Good Shepherd Parish. His pastoral
watch for 27 years marked the steady ascent
of the parish as a Center of Spirituality
in the Diocese of Novaliches.
As Vicar Forane
for 20 years, he opened 22 new parishes
in 4 Vicariates in the Quezon City North
Ecclesiastical District. He founded and
guided 12 religious congregations as their
Spiritual Director. He also spearheaded
the holding of the Parish Renewal Experience
(PREX) seminars in more than 800 parishes
nationwide and is popularly known as the
“Father of PREX”.
His sterling record as an
achiever is predominantly imbued with a
Trinitarian spirituality, and ever doing
justice to his name, Monsignor Fidelis has
remained loyal to the cause of evangelization,
good works and his former parishioners,
who will forever occupy a special place
in his heart. |
