On
August 15, 1976, Monsignor Fidelis
inducted the first BRM Directorate of the
newborn parish, which earnestly propagated
the regular holding of block rosary meetings
and street masses in the rising subdivision.
The movement initially covered a total of
56 streets and has grown easily to more
than a hundred, stretching its coverage
to East Fairview, West Fairview and South
Fairview.
The BRM is consistently
at the helm in supervising street masses,
Marian processions and festivities and has
published the first parish directory in
1979. It has also played a major role in
fund raising campaigns for the construction
of the church, the parish center and retreat
house and the adoration chapel.
This prayerful throng of
Catholic neighbors and parishioners, numbering
by the hundreds, has been tapped as an effective
launching pad for the growth and development
of the basic ecclesial communities (BECs). |
