Charing has relentlessly served
as the organist in our church masses since
the fledgling years of the Good Shepherd
Chapel in Regalado Avenue Parish circa 1976.
In her small way, she patiently honed and
refined the religious songs and numbers
of the Catholic Women's League (CWL) Choir,
the Dakilang Pastol Choir and the Disciples
Choir, among others.
To this day, despite her
failing eyesight, she personifies the virtues
of the Good Shepherd as a selfless and self-sacrificing
servant who incessantly prays to the Lord
for strength so that she can serve the Cathedral
without fail.
Truly, the acknowledgment
of Ate Charing as a precious pearl of the
Cathedral Shrine of the Good Shepherd is
a fitting tribute to the countless other
silent servers and unsung heroes in our
church, who likewise deserve the admiration
and gratitude of the entire parish community.
