Msgr. Romy bids farewell to all Good Shepherd Parishioners, the Parish Pastoral Council, the Parish Staff and parish lay volunteers. He will move to his new assignment at the Our Lady of the Annunciation along Mindanao Ave., Q.C. Msgr. Romy wishes to express his sincere gratitude to all benefactors and donors, and to those who have given him constant support and encouragement during his 4-year and 10-month term, especially in helping realize our major Church project, the expansion and renovation of the Cathedral Sanctuary. Msgr. Romy was appointed Pastor and Rector of the Good Shepherd on Aug. 1, 2002 by the late Jaime Cardinal Sin. He succeeded Msgr. Fidelis Limcaco. Now, Msgr. Romy will in turn be succeeded by Fr. Gerry Tapiador, the present Vicar General of the Diocese and outgoing Pastor of St. Peter’s Parish. Msgr. Romy will leave the Parish on Friday, June 8 at 3PM. A joint Mass with Fr. Gerry is scheduled at 12 noon.

Meanwhile, Fr. Aris de Leon, our Parochial Vicar of two years, moves to the Sto. Niño de Congreso Parish in Bugumbong, Caloocan City, on Monday, June 4. He will leave Fairview for Bagumbong at 9AM.

The Knights of Columbus Council 7178 in cooperation with volunteer doctors of the FEU-NRMF successfully conducted “Operation Tule,” held last Saturday, May 26, 2007. Around 85 children and youths, mostly from the parish pastoral areas, were able to avail of the free circumcision. The project was made possible by the Sisters of the Our Lady of Consolation.

The Shepherd’s Flock Community will conduct a Catholic Life in the Spirit Seminar (CLSS) for 7 consecutive Thursdays starting June 7, 2007 at 8 to 10 P.M. at the PREX Hall. The seminar is a spiritual encounter with the Lord that opens the door to a new life in the Spirit. Come and experience the inspiring and guiding presence of the Holy Spirit in your life! Registration is free.

This is the last issue of the Sunday News Bulletin. Msgr. Romy wishes to thank all patrons, readers, and contributors for their support during its 4-year-and-10-month circulation.

Solemnity of the Blessed Trinity

Jesus said to his disciples: “I have much more to tell you, but you cannot bear it now. But when he comes, the Spirit of truth, he will guide you to all truth. He will not speak on his own, but he will speak what he hears, and will declare to you the things that are coming. He will glorify me, because he will take from what is mine and declare it to you. Everything that the Father has is mine; for this reason I told you that he will take from what is mine and declare it to you.” John 16: 12-15
